The Georgian era began in 1714 with the accession of King George I to the throne of England. Georgian romance titles are usually set during the reign of King George III of England which began in 1760. His son was appointed Regent in 1811 due to the madness of George III, but the King did not die until 1820 -- so there is some overlap with the Regency era.
