Lured to France by a lonely hearts ad, Karen St. Clair's friend had then simply vanished. Luke Donovan offered to help. Maybe he wasn't the best detective in the world, but he was all she had.

At first, Luke wasn't concerned. He predicted her friend would turn up unharmed. But as every question they asked led them deeper into danger it became clear that Karen's friend had fallen into a trap.

Karen refused to turn back and Luke had no choice but to go along. Love had claimed one victim, and something told him they'd be next....
