Deborah Simmons has authored many historical romance novels and novellas for Avon, Berkley and Harlequin. Ms. Simmons graduated from Wittenberg University and began her career as a journalist. Her first novel, Heart's Masquerade, was published by Avon in 1989. Two of her books, The Gentleman Thief in 2001 and A Lady of Distinction in 2005, led to RITA award nominations. Her works have been translated into many languages, including Japanese graphic novels.
