If I have understood your question correctly, yes, you have to add a link on the Louise Allen page to the individual anthology page. Check out All Through The Night - Anthology pr Hot Summer Nights - Liquid Silver Books for examples of good anthology pages. In those cases the summary of the novella is on the Anthology page and the link from the author page is to the Anthology itself. People have had different ideas of how to handle this (give the novella its own page or not?). If the Anthology already exists you can just link to it. ---Kay Thanks for the answer, but I guess my question was not clear. I've created the Anthology page and the novella page -- for the specific Louise Allen Story -- and linked them both to Louise Allen's page. The problem I have is there are 2 other stories in the anthology, which other wiki authors created -- and they are somehow not linking to the Anthology page. How do I get those other 2 short story pages to link? Should I figure out the authors of those 2 pages and contact them? Bluestocking, 16:00 20 February 2009 (Central)

Okay, there are no "authors" for the wiki pages. If there is something that needs to be fixed on a page you can go ahead and make that fix or let someone else know that there needs to be a fix (like you did!). To make the link from the other authors' pages or from the novella pages to the anthology page, I went in and added the [[ and ]] around the title of the anthology. That made that title a link. There would be no way for that to automatically become a link unless the title had the brackets around it. Does this help?--Kay T 01:42, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Adding Categories

In case Romancewiki does not get back to you right away (she is out of town, but may check the wiki), I will pitch in with my two cents worth. You can always add a category on a page. It shows up as red and will be waiting to be "created" as a new category, and it is okay to leave it like this for a bit to see what other people think of the category. If it seems to be a category that others use, or that makes sense, then you or someone (like me) can create the category page. I am not sure if you have looked at the hierarchy of categories in the Help section here (RomanceWiki:Category Index). I don't really see a "subject" type of category per se, but "snowbound" would fit under "location" and "Companion" would be a type of character occupation, right? There are also things listed under "plot devices" that might include these types of categories ("Plot devices" being used for a broad category of things like themes, etc.). If you create a new category, it is good to categorize that category so that it is easily found in this hierarchy. Another thing we want to avoid is a bunch of duplicate categories like vampire, vampires, vampyres, vampyre, blood-suckers - you get the idea. I am not a librarian, nor do I play one on the wiki, so if you want to make suggestions about the category structure, please feel free to do so. When I go in to clean up the categories every once in awhile, I try to make sure the category is categorized and to get rid of duplicate categories. --Kay T 00:11, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I see that Kay T responded while I was traveling, but her response is spot-on (always). While we *do* try to prevent category creep, category creep happens (and then we do clean-up). Every person uses slightly different language to describe certain concepts (to me, Cabin Romance encompasses snowbound, but not everyone would look at one description and think the other). I also do a lot of linking of categories together when there's a relationship or logical hierarchy: Plot Devices>Snowbound, or See Also: Snowbound. I am one of those who likes to give readers a lot of options.--Romancewiki 21:46, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi -- it was a simple style guide issue. We've been capitalizing the first letter of every word (incorrect, yes, but since everyone has a different idea of how title case works, this keeps things consistent over time), and your page had a lowercase "in".
