Joan Hohl won the 1986 Golden Medallion in the Short Contemporary Category for her title Much Needed Holiday.

She also wrote under the names Amii Lorin and Paula Roberts. She published four novels for the Silhouette Romance line. Joan Hohl also wrote for Silhouette Desire, Silhouette Intimate Moments, Silhouette Special Edition, and Second Chance At Love.
