Her work includes Contemporary, Historical, and Young Adult romance. Malek contributed the essay "Loved I Not Honor More: The Virginal Heroine in Romance" to Dangerous Men And Adventurous Women: Romance Writers on the Appeal of the Romance. She also published under the name Faye Morgan.
She published one title for the Silhouette Romance imprint.
