She felt like a trapped animal

Darcy had to do something fast. Thinking she heard him at the door, she clambered onto the windowsill.

Whether or not she would have landed safely on the balcony below, she never found out. For when her feet did leave the windowsill, it wasn't the way she planned.

Iron-hard hands hauled her back inside. All Darcy was aware of was that Neve had told of her and one of his hands was clamped firmly around her waist.

She didn't realize his only intention was to get her back inside. All she knew was that she hadn't escaped him, and his other hand snaked its way onto her breast. It was then that that Darcy began to fight.
