She also taught English at the University of San Francisco. Her husband is also an author for Harlequin, publishing under the name R.J. Kaiser. R.J. Kaiser was the co-author of two of the Janice Kaiser titles, including Harmony.

As an author for the Harlequin Intrigue imprint, Janice Kaiser published one novel. Kaiser wrote 18 titles for the Harlequin Temptation line. She has also written for Silhouette Desire.
