JEANNE JUDSON Jeanne Judson was born on September 5, 1888, and became a newspaper reporter in Grand Rapids, Mich.; Chicago; and St. Louis, Mo. In 1919 she moved to New York City, where she worked on the editorial staff for Smart Set magazine. She also wrote articles for Ladies Home Journal and Harper's Bazaar. She became an editor for trade publications in New York until 1953, when she began to write romance novels. She eventually published more than 70, most for Avalon. She died in January 1981 in Manhattan, at the age of 92.
