Christie Ridgway writes romance with a California style. She met her husband during college in Santa Barbara, and after starting a family she turned her hand to writing. For a number of years she worked as a technical writer and computer programmer. Then she rediscovered the joy of romance novels between rounds of Lego-building and reading ''Goodnight Moon'' to her young sons. She began writing for Silhouette in 1996, and began publishing single titles with Avon in 2000.

Her novel Must Love Mistletoe was nominated for a 2007 RITA in the Best Contemporary Single Title category. Christie Ridgway was a 2010 RITA® finalist in the RITA®: Contemporary Series Romance category with her novel I Still Do and a 2010 RITA® finalist in the RITA®: Contemporary Single Title Romance category with her novel Dirty Sexy Knitting.
