Book Description
Elena Baxter, who can perform miraculous healings, and Artur Loginovm, a private eye who picks up on people's memories via touch, end up in the same laboratory with other patients who exhibit paranormal traits. Liu's writing is smart, funny, and mature. The book contains thriller elements. Liu is adept at world-building, creating an alternate universe for her characters to inhabit. The Dirk & Steele Agency, a paranormal detective agency that employs Artur, has drawn comparisons to The X-Men.
