How to Use
If you type in
{{subst:author}}
on the blank author page it will insert the template. I think you then have to save the page (with the {{subst:author}} in the edit box).
The saved page will show up with all of the fields blank or samples as on this template page. When you go to edit the page, you can fill in the fields just as if you had pasted the template in the edit box of the page.
