Silent In The Grave by Deanna Raybourn

About the Book

When Lady Julia Grey's husband Edward dies rather suddenly, it is assumed that he fell victim to his family's tendency for heart problems. But when investigator Nicholas Brisbane appears and tells Julia that her husband had contacted him, it is revealed that Edward was murdered. Julia teams up with Nicholas to find the culprit and answers.

Raybourn executes her story with confidence and well-researched historical detail. While romance is present in the story, the series continues with romantic elements left unresolved. Julia grows as she learns how little she knew about her husband and his world.
