Biography

Award-winning author Cheryl Anne Porter, well known to fans for her gripping historical suspense novels, also took the literary world by storm with her fresh-voiced, contemporary comedy. A former public school teacher who also spent five years as a college fiction writing instructor, Cheryl mentored many aspiring writers. In addition to teaching workshops, she hosted lively writers’ roundtable gatherings near her home on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

She passed away in August 2004, after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Two Cheryl Anne Porter Scholarships have been established in her name, one for published writers and one for unpublished To donate visit her Website.
