The Georgian era began in 1714 with the accession of King George I to the throne of England. The later George IV was appointed Regent in 1811 due to the madness of his father, George III, but the King did not die until 1820 - so there is some overlap with the Regency era.
Many Georgian romance titles are set during the reign of King George III of England, which began in 1760, but many are set during the Jacobite Risings, especially the one of 1745/1746.
