Curtiss Ann Matlock was born in North Carolina (and proudly notes that her roots go back to the American Revolution), and her work largely focuses on the South and its people. She now makes her home in Oklahoma. She is the author of over 30 novels, with her first title, A Time And A Season, published in 1985. The award-winning Matlock is also a three-time RITA finalist.
