Tracy Grant’s first novels were Regency romances written in her teen and undergraduate years, in collaboration with her mother, Joan Grant. Their first published novel was a Zebra Regency Romance titled The Widow’s Gambit, under the pseudonym Anthea Malcolm (May 1988).

Tracy Grant graduated from Stanford University, where she majored in British history and received the Firestone Award for Excellence in Research for her honor thesis. Since her mother's death, she continues to write historical romance set in the Regency period. She lives in northern California and serves on the board of the Merola Opera Program, a training program for professional opera singers, coaches, and stage directors.
