As a child, Paula's favorite books were Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew mysteries and Harlequin Romances. When she realized there were books that featured both romance and mystery, she knew she'd found er calling. Now she writes for Harlequin Intrigue, where she gets to play both matchmaker and murderer and get paid for it.

As a child, Paula's favorite books were Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew mysteries and Harlequin Romances. When she realized there were books that featured both romance and mystery, she knew she'd found er calling. Now she writes for Harlequin Intrigue, where she gets to play both matchmaker and murderer and get paid for it.

Paula sold her first novel, Forbidden Territory, in 2006 after finaling in the 2004 Golden Heart contest. The book was also a Daphne du Maurier Contest winner in the unpublished category.

In 2011, her novel, Case File: Canyon Creek, Wyoming was nominated for a RITA award.

She is a native of Alabama.
