Mills & Boon expand into the paperback market in the 1960s and started the imprint Romance. It ran until August 1996 when it was replaced by the Enchanted™ (warm and emotionally fulfilling stories) and the Mills & Boon Presents™ (passionate, provocative romances) imprints. Due to the changing covers the imprint has an additional name after its "style".

In September 2006 Mills & Boon named the series which replaced the Tender Romance™ imprint (which had replaced the Enchanted™ series) again Mills & Boon Romance.
