Book Description

Lois Tarrant had gone to Madrid on a literally flying visit, to deliver the trousseau of Dona Inez de Castenova. But a sudden tragic accident meant the postponememt of the wedding plans. Dona Inez, it was decided, should return at once to her home in Andalusia - and she would need a woman companion for the journey. So Lois, instead of returning to London, found herself travelling with Dona Inez and her guardian, the masterful Don Jose Farrara de Martinez y Arova, for an indefinite stay.

The close proximity of Don Jose had the not unsurprising effect of causing Lois to fall in love with him; but the Don had a close - and very beautiful! - friend, the lovely widowed Madame Helene Duplessis, and she had very different plans for his future...
