[[Jane Porter]] writes "classic romance and modern chick lit". A California native, Porter was changed by a year spent in Europe, leading to her love of the [[Presents]] line. She won the [[Golden Heart]]- in 1998 for my long contemporary series romance, All-Around Cowboy -- a book that she didn't ultimately sell. Her first published book, [[The Italian Groom]] finaled in the 2000 [[Golden Heart]] contest and was published by Harlequin in 2001. She is also a two-time [[RITA]] finalist.
