Book Description
Christian Langland, Duke of Jerveaux, is a mathematician and rake who is suddenly felled by a stroke. Soon he is confined to a sanitarium when his family determines that he's gone mad, where he meets Quaker, Maddy Timms. She understands that he's not crazy, just sick, but that doesn't mean communication becomes easy nor that his family will accept her diagnosis.
The 2003 re-issue features a scenic covering instead of the original "Fabio bearing flowers" cover that felt out of sync with the intense story.
