Jude Johnson is “Native by Proxy” to Arizona; her mother’s family has lived in Southern Arizona for generations, and Jude herself has lived in Tucson for more than twenty-five years. A member of the Society of Southwestern Authors and The Historical Novel Society, she loves reading and writing historical fiction that involves a combination of adventure, history and a darn good love story. Mixing historical facts, events, and figures with fictional characters, Jude weaves stories she hopes entertain her readers while offering something new to learn along the way—including Welsh and Spanish phrases.
