Biography

Anne Stuart's first novel, Barrett's Hill, was published by Ballantine in 1974. She hasn't stopped publishing since, writing for all the major publishing houses in a variety of genres -- from Gothic to Category Romances. She contributed to Dangerous Men and Adventurous Women: Romance Writers on the Appeal of the Romance. She is also an outspoken advocate of the romance genre.

She is a recipient of the Romance Writers of America Lifetime Achievement Award and won 1986 Golden Medallion in the Single Title Release category for her title Banish Misfortune. She was awarded the 1994 RITA® in the Futuristic/Fantasy/Paranormal category for Falling Angel and the 1996 RITA® in the Romantic Suspense category for Winter's Edge.

As a Harlequin American author, Anne Stuart has published 26 titles. She has published seven novels for the Harlequin Intrigue imprint.

Her book The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes, the story of sisters with paranormal powers and normal problems, was a collaborative project with authors Jennifer Crusie and Eileen Dreyer.
