I was trapped--and about to die. Sweat formed on my brow and the palms of my hands as I drove along the winding coastal road. I tried to check the car's speed, but it raced on of its own volition. In a flash, I knew what had happened. Someone had fixed the brakes! In only minutes the car would fly out over the water and I would plunge to my death. Terrified, I gripped the steering wheel, shutting my eyes against the approaching moment. And I prayed.
