Biography

Cheryl Zach is a triple RITA winner, winning the 1985 Golden Medallion in the Young Adult Category, the 1986 Golden Medallion in the Young Adult category, and 1996 RITA® in the Young Adult category. She has been inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame, the first Young Adult author to achieve that honor.

She attended Austin Peay State University, majoring in English and minoring in history. She has taught at the high school level, channeling that experience into her fiction. Her first published novel was Twice A Fool.

She also co-authored historical romance with her daughter Michelle Place under the name Nicole Byrd (Michelle now writes under her own name while Zach continues to write under the Byrd name), and has written as Jennifer Cole and Jamie Suzann. She's written for the Sweet Valley High series. Cheryl Zach published one novel for the Harlequin Temptation line.
