The Duets imprint followed Love And Laughter and preceded Flipside -- all Harlequin lines dedicated to humor. It was formed by combining the Love And Laughter and Silhouette Yours Truly lines, with authors crossing over from both lines. Each Duets volume contained two full-length novels (the same length as the prior Love And Laughter and Silhouette Yours Truly books), generally coupling two distinct authors, though there were instances of a single author for both titles.
Though the format failed to resonate with the readers, many of the stories were well-received. Kristin Gabriel won a RITA for her title Annie, Get Your Groom.
