Book Description
Jillian is an archaeologist who, after her father's death, discovers a map her father had made showing he had discovered a lost civilization of warrior women in the middle of the Brazilian rainforest. She wants to locate the lost city and publish her results to prove that her father was a success. There is also the added complication of a red diamond that was central to the lost tribe's spiritual ceremonies. This "Heart of Fire" has her half-brother, Rick, and a whole bunch of bad guys trailing along on her journey.
Ben Lewis is the river guide hired to ferry this group to the lost city. He is pretty much a chauvinistic, muscle-bound type of guy, but he comes to respect Jillian, and eventually they find themselves alone trying to find the secrets, while trying to resist the heat between them.
