Book Description

Cornelia (Nealy) Litchfield Case has spent a lifetime under the watchful eye of the Secret Service and public. After her husband, the President of the United States, is assasinated, her father insists that she serve as "hostess" to the nation's new bachelor President. Instead, Nealy escapes her bonds and hits the road. Mat Jorik, a sucker for damsels in distress, is taking his deceased ex-wife's two daughters to their grandmother when he encounters the former First Lady on the run. He's also a disgraced journalist -- the last species Nealy wants to encounter in her new life.
