Book Description
Widowed Flora Westbury is cook at Alvoe Court, home of the Duke and Duchess of Alvoe. She catches the eye of both Captain William Pritchard, to whom she is attracted, and Ralph, the Alvoe heir. Flora knows her station and thinks she can never marry William, but Ralph's actions create a crisis.
