Book Description
In the year 1157, Raine and Arianna live against the backdrop of war between England and Wales. The bastard son of an earl, Raine rises up to become a knight and receives his own keep when he saves King Henry the Second's life. The catch is that he must marry a Welsh princess. Arianna is a "seer" and refuses to marry her enemy, a Norman, even by decree. Through the gift of her sight, however, Arianna "sees" past the violence the knight has committed and discovers the kindness and difficulties that Raine has built upon to become the man he is.
