Book Description

Clayton Holland, drafted into the Confederate Army, is sent to prison for refusing to bear arms during the conflict. When he returns home to Texas, he's shunned by the townspeople - except for Meg Warner who wants him to build a memorial to the town's war heroes, including her late husband.
