Book Description
Heroine has an affinity with metal—she can read its psychic history. She’s in China, looking for treasures, and buys a puzzle box in the open air market. There’s a mysterious man who tries to pick her up, then hurts her—crushes her hand when she refuses him. She gets away. Then when she opens the box, a man materializes from it. He’s a shapeshifting tiger who has lost his ability to shift and has been cursed into the box to serve anyone who buys the box and figures out how to open it. Heroine treats him as a free man. They fight the guy who hurts her—who’s actually the one who cursed the hero. Lots of action, lots of twists and turns—it’s a really great story.
