Emma Goldrick was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she met and married her husband Bob, a career military man from Massachusetts. Thirty years and 4 children later they retired and took up nursing and teaching. In 1980 they turned to collaborative writing. After a full year of studying the Mills & Boon style, their first submission (And Blow Your House Down) was accepted and released 1983 in Hardcover by Mills & Boon. In 1997 the author's latest title was released.
