Book Description
Anna Marie is an orphaned English woman living in China. She has become addicted to the opium her adopted father sells -- to the point where she's lost her will to exist. Zhi-Gang has been charged by the Emperor to rid China of the evil opium, and his work brings him into Anna's life. His life changes when he meets Anna, yet her addiction and his mission create danger as Zhi finds he may have to kill the woman he loves to please his ruler.
