Biography

Judith McNaught (b. 1944) started her career in 1983 writing category romances for Harlequin. Although written much earlier, her first published historical romance for Pocket Books, Whitney, My Love of 1985, was a major success, but caused some commotion due to the "rape". In an interview she gives some details about the original scene, the alterations prior to the publication, her rewriting of some parts in 2000 and her real intentions. She also writes contemporary romances and Romantic Suspense.

Judith McNaught wrote one novel for the Harlequin Temptation line.
