Dorien Kelly, who makes her home in Michigan, worked for several years as a commercial lawyer before turning to fiction writing. She earned a BA in English from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the Detroit College of Law. She won the [[1998 Golden Heart Winners|Golden Heart]] in 1998 in the Contemporary Single Title Category. She is also the winner of a [[Maggie]] award and was a 2004 finalist for the 2004 [[RITA]] in the Contemporary Single Title category. Kelly served on the Board of Directors for the [[Romance Writers of America]] as Region 2 Director for three years and PAN Liaison (2007 - 2009).

As an author for Harlequin Temptation, Dorien Kelly published two novels.
