Flora Kidd published her first novel, Visit To Rowanbank, in 1966. From this first sale to Mills and Boon, she continued her romance career through 1989. After retiring, she continued writing in other arenas. Many of her books are considered collector's items. Starting in 1977, she made her home in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.

She wrote 36 books for Harlequin Presents. Writing for the Harlequin Romance imprint, she published 23 titles.

Flora Mildred (Betty) Kidd was born in 1926. She passed away on March 19, 2008.
