Siblings Malachi, Gideon, and Rebecca Sullivan treasure their "Fate", a small silver statue that is one of three pieces. When their Fate is stolen, they embark on a wild adventure to recover their rightful property. Along the way, the siblings each find love: one with Dr. Tia Marsh, an antiquities professor, another with Cleo Toliver, an exotic dancer, and yet another with Jack Burdett, a renowned securities expert.
In this novel, Nora Roberts juggles three romances and an action-packed story. Though some parts of the globe-trotting adventure may seem over-the-top, the individual elements -- particularly the romance of Gideon and Cleo, are strong.
