Kasey Michaels is the author of over 85 novels and has appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. Her novel The Lurid Lady Of Lockport won the first-ever Golden Medallion in the Regency category.

Kasey Michaels has written in a variety of romance genres, starting in the Regency realm before moving to longer historical romances. She has also branched out to contemporary suspense titles. In 1985, Kasey Michaels won the first-ever Golden Medallion in the Regency Category. In addition to winning a RITA, she has earned Career Achievement Awards.

A versatile author, Michaels originally made her mark writing her "alphabet series" of Regency romances. Later, she turned her wicked sense of humor on the romance industry with her Maggie Kelly romantic suspense series. In that series, former romance author Maggie Kelly deals with the complications of a dashing Regency-era sleuth come to life. While offering a glimpse into the world of authors, the novels also skewer some of the more outlandish aspects of romance genre organizations and conferences.
