Cheryl Zach attended Austin Peay State University, majoring in English and minoring in history. She has taught at the high school level, channeling that experience into her fiction. Her first published novel was Twice A Fool.
She also co-authored historical romance with her daughter Michelle Place under the name Nicole Byrd. (Michelle now writes under her own name while Zach continues to write under the Byrd name), and has written as Jennifer Cole and Jamie Suzann. She's written for the Sweet Valley High series.
