Lynn Michaels was nominated for a RITA for her novels Remembrance, Aftershock, and Nightwing. She has also written under the pseudonym Paula Christopher and as Jane Lynson. Her first novel, Like A Lover, was published by Avon as part of their Velvet Glove imprint in 1984. When her novel The Patriot was published, her first name was misspelled as "Lynne". She is part of the "Lip Service Gang", a group blog featuring Michaels, Terese Ramin, Caridad Pineiro, Linda Randall Wisdom, and Judith Rochelle.

As an author for Harlequin Temptation, Lynn Michaels published six novels.
