RITA™ Award-winning author Elia Winters writes geeky, kinky, cozy erotic romance. She is a fat, tattooed, polyamorous bisexual who loves petting cats and fighting the patriarchy. Elia holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and teaches at a small rural high school, where she also runs the drama club. She balances her love of words with a love of baking, crafting, and a bottomless well of geekiness; in her spare time, she is equally likely to be found playing tabletop games, kneading bread, cross-stitching, or binge-watching Marie Kondo.
Elia grew up blessed with an artsy, creative, quirky family that nurtured her eccentricities and helped shape her into the woman she is today. She started sneaking her mother’s romance novels when she was way too young for them, and in Catholic high school, kept her friends entertained by writing a steady stream of explicit stories while somehow never getting caught. Now, sex education and kink-positive feminism have become a cornerstone of Elia’s brand, including reviewing sex toys and presenting at kink conventions. She currently lives in western Massachusetts with her loving husband and their spoiled cat.
