The Duets imprint followed Love and Laughter and preceded Flipside -- all Harlequin lines dedicated to humor. These titles were packaged two to a book, generally coupling two distinct authors, though there were instances of a single author for both titles.

Though the format failed to resonate with the readers, many of the stories were well-received. Kristin Gabriel won a RITA for her title Annie, Get Your Groom.
