Lisa Kleypas graduated from Wellesley College with a political science degree, and published her first novel at age twenty-one. Her books are published in fourteen languages and are bestsellers all over the world. In 2007 Lisa published her first contemporary fiction with Sugar Daddy issued in hard cover from St. Martin's Press.

In 1985, Lisa was named Miss Massachusetts in the Miss America competition. Lisa is married and lives in Texas with her husband and two children.
