Chicago Assistant State's Attorney Kristen Mayhew is hiding a secret, and that keeps the all work, no fun ASA tightly wound. Then one day, three criminals who got off show up dead with a note indicating that justice for Kristen has been served. Kristen turns to detective Abe Reagan for help as the dead bodies continue to pile up.
This story twists traditional serial killer models in that the dead are criminals -- murderers and rapists.
