The gunshot rang out from Frank's office. Karen's breath caught as she saw Frank standing over a crumpled body, a smoking pistol in his hand. "Y-you’ve killed him!" she cried, backing away in horror. Panicking, she raced to the Fire Exit door, suddenly terrified of this man she had married.  "Karen Wait!" he called to her. She ran down the stairs but then stopped midway, sickened with fear. Crouching against the cold walls she listened for footsteps. Nothing! Had her husband gone to a lower floor to meet her there and kill her? Or was he waiting for her at the top, a deadly gun in his hand...?
