I moved it to Help:Uploading Images "which may have unforeseen consequences" like now you have a redirect on your sandbox page. I have a couple of sandbox pages and I usually just copy and paste, but I thought I would get fancy. Ughh! Remove the redirect if you want to use the page for your sandbox again. --Kay T 11:07, 15 September 2007 (PDT)

::Dawn, you still have a redirect on the talk page for that sandbox. Just in case you wanted to chat there about the image. You know, some time ago I shrunk some images by using the "numberpx" argument and it seemed to work. Maybe we could just add on the Help page a standard size number. I wonder why thumb doesn't work? Maybe that is a template that calls the standard thumb size on wiki? --Kay T 16:44, 16 September 2007 (PDT)

Images

Dawn, could you maybe help make an "Help:Uploading Images" page? I never do this and don't really know how, while you seem to be proficient. I am trying to put together a more generic Help page that will link to this image page (you can just use this link if you like) so any content would be appreciated. --Kay T 15:50, 7 September 2007 (PDT)

Sure, Kay. I'll see what I can whip up. And note: I only seem proficient. I'm only as good as my ability to search out the instructions from the main wiki site. --DawnBurn 16:11, 7 September 2007 (PDT)
Okay, check out my sandbox for the whip up. I used some of the text from the official wiki site & then edited in some Romancewiki stuff. Do you think it needs a section on how to find images? --DawnBurn 01:01, 11 September 2007 (PDT)
So you have to have the picture saved to your own computer, you can't upload from another website, right? --Kay T 15:42, 11 September 2007 (PDT)
That is correct. I'll try to make that a little clearer. -DawnBurn 15:58, 11 September 2007 (PDT)

That's fine and what I'll do. I prefer moving since it moves the discussion & edits too and I can easily remove the redirect. =) --DawnBurn 12:07, 15 September 2007 (PDT)
Dawn, you still have a redirect on the talk page for that sandbox. Just in case you wanted to chat there about the image. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip about uploading covers and changing those pages (They originally just had the URL to the pic at the top of the page so that's why I moved the links) :) --Amy 14:43, 5 September 2007 (PDT)

You are welcome and I figured you were more moving than linking yourself but hoped it didn't hurt to give more info. Also, great work on the Catherine Asaro book pages. --DawnBurn 16:14, 5 September 2007 (PDT)

template categories

Don't forget to put categories on your templates (which I can't remember how to do for you right this second). I think category:Templates should do it.--Kay T 16:32, 4 September 2007 (PDT)

Okay. I didn't know to put them on all templates but I can go ahead and do that. Thanks. --DawnBurn 16:37, 4 September 2007 (PDT)
I am a stickler for categories! There is a whole list of pages and categories without categories - my mission in life. Also, see my comment on category:Erotic/Erotica. Now that you have created the great deletion template (thanks, looks good), we need a merge template! --Kay T 16:41, 4 September 2007 (PDT)
Oh sure, more work. =) I'll try to figure something out for merge. You want just another box bit so that people who visit the page(s) know or something to auto merge? I also didn't see your comments on category:Erotic/Erotica. Did the wiki eat them? --DawnBurn 14:38, 5 September 2007 (PDT)

Same Title Pages

I created Help:Same Title Multiple Authors and edited Book Template to try and recommend the format discussed below and to also encourage others to use the Category and create the pages. Please take a look. --DawnBurn 15:51, 31 August 2007 (PDT)

Dawn, thanks so much for getting this page started! It's been on my to-do list forever, but, as you can see, there's always something ahead of actual progress. You clearly have an organized mind (mine, lately, has resembled a jigsaw puzzle with key pieces lost forever) and I soooo appreciate you take the time to write "help" for the various tricky aspects of the wiki. I saw your conversation with KayT about using various wiki formats. We settled on MediaWiki because it seemed to have the best documentation, but I have to admit I was surprised at the various products available.--Romancewiki 10:03, 2 September 2007 (PDT)
I'm so glad you like what I've done so far. I'm only organized about stuff that it isn't necessarily my job to be organized about. I love MediaWiki format, so it works great for me. --DawnBurn 01:21, 3 September 2007 (PDT)

Mirage

Looks like you got something straightened out here. RomanceWiki is the one who should know. So we probably need to either have her delete or redirect the Mirage (SP) and Mirage by Monica Burns pages. What does/did the (SP) stand for, I wonder? It is fun to learn about stuff here. We are much more forgiving than that big wiki! But I have learned about so much wiki stuff. and romance stuff. --Kay T 14:55, 31 August 2007 (PDT)

Sorry, I did not read the above thread. I think we can put category:Pages To Be Deleted on the pages and RomanceWiki will delete them. --Kay T 14:59, 31 August 2007 (PDT)
Aha! Thank you for the magical category. =) I've messed at tiny bit with the 'big' wiki and have participated in other wikis (with different syntax, ugh). I'm enjoying stuff here and messing around and meeting everyone. -DawnBurn 15:01, 31 August 2007 (PDT)
No, I am just getting fluent with this MediaWiki syntax, don't even mention that there are others! I have adopted a project over on the big wiki, and suddenly I am creating pages, etc. (which I had never done there) just like around here! Ha!--Kay T 15:10, 31 August 2007 (PDT)

Luna series

Hi DawnBurn! Not sure if you saw but I replied to your questions on the Talk:Luna page. :) --Amy 11:14, 31 August 2007 (PDT)

Hi Amy. I did I just hadn't had a chance to respond. Thanks! =) --DawnBurn 12:57, 31 August 2007 (PDT)
