Artist Janna Morgan has come to Queen Charlotte islands to recover from the break-up of her marriage. While out boating alone, she is caught in a sudden storm, and Carlson Raven finds her unconscious, chilled and suffering from severe hypothermia. When Janna wakes up, she is naked and in bed with him and the story is about how each comes to accept the idea that they can be loved.
