Harlequin American Romance Premier was established as a separate imprint for single-title length books by established Harlequin American Romance writers. While American Romance titles average 250 pages, American Romance Premier books averaged 380.
Only five American Romance Premier books were published. Impressively, two of them won the RITA® or Golden Medallion for best Contemporary Single Title of 1984 (After All these Years by Kathleen Gilles Seidel) and 1985 (Banish Misfortune by Anne Stuart), respectively.
